Life at Sea

- the crew was wonderful, helpful, knowledgable, and so fun -

A Typical Day Aboard

As the sun rises the boat comes alive. With the cook getting ready the Coffee and Tea for the early risers in the group. Some want to see the colours of the sky reflected in the sea water as the sun climbs the horizon. Others sleep in their comfortable cabins or out on deck.
When the time is right, wake up to the warming sun as it hits the top deck and then jump straight into the crystal clear turquoise water.

Breakfast and mornings

Scrambled eggs and a full Turkish breakfast are waiting whenever one decides to come out. The morning is spent reading, sun bathing and dozing while the captain takes the boat to the next destination. Perhaps it's Cleopatra's Bath, where you swim amongst ancient ruins, or Butterfly Valley. In The Valley the adventurous can walk up the rocky cliff to the primitive town of Faralya for spectacular views of the Mediterranean

..."During the day, we sunbathed on the deck beds, read in the shade, snorkeled (the boat had a few masks and fins to share), swam (the boat had pool noodles and some tubes!), jumped off every edge of the boat, hiked (Ali took us on a personal hike at Cleopatra's hamam), and basically live the absolute best life"...

Dinner and evenings

As the sun begins to set, you could wade onto shore for a stroll, or throw a line in the water to supplement the evening meal. The freshest fish can be found in these waters if one is fast enough to catch them. Fish or BBQ for the main dish are put on the table with warm bread delivered by tiny traditional boats. A mountain of salad, a great side and fresh fruit, are set in front of the guests as they sip on wine or ice cold Efes beer.

..."They made sure that we had the best trip and every night catered to our wishes. We celebrated 2 birthdays and an engagement on the ship. Ali provided cakes and champagne for our celebrations and bought decorations! It was seriously the sweetest and so unexpected. We had a white party on our last night on the ship and crew dressed in white to join our fun! We truly became family on the ship and didn't want to leave"...

Lunch and afternoons

After a luncheon feast, it is time for a well-earned snooze on a sun bed. Sleep comes easily when set to the sound of the gentle lapping of the sea.
Maybe you are feeling energetic? Grab a mask to snorkel and explore.

The tea here in Turkey a traditional and tasty. Here on the boat tea / coffee time is in the afternoon, with cookies and biscuits.

Food was the best I've ever had on any trip. Freshly made at every meal and a 5pm teatime. Ali made sure to ask of allergies and dietary restrictions and were very nice about providing appropriate foods for all of our group"...

Evenings and sleeping under the stars

After dark bring out the backgammon set and sample a Turkish specialty. The apple flavoured waterpipe. The nights are spent talking, and end with tired eyes and big smiles on the faces of our guests. Then fall asleep under the stars on the front deck.

..."It's pretty hot down in the cabins (as with most boats), so we mostly slept on deck on super comfortable deck beds. The boat had tons of blankets, sheets, and pillows. Nighttime provided the best star gazing and a wonderful breeze"...
